Children's Discovery Museum

Today we went to lunch in downtown Normal with our friends Kim and Eliana. After lunch we went to the Children's Discovery Museum because today they had free admission. We had so much fun exploring. There was so much to see that we will have to go back a few more times just to see and explore it all.

Here is Eli and I in the truck at the drive up window of the "shop n' go". We got to hear all the noises a truck makes. Apparently little boys don't think little girls should be in trucks...as you can see we weren't moving for the boys waiting...instead we just bat our eyes and look pretty.

Here I am at the kid cafe on top of the "shop n' go" store.

Here's Eli and I at the water table. I really started "making a splash" when mommy said I wasn't allowed to get in and swim in it, so we had to move onto something else.

...at the grain bins just like daddy's work. We got to put grain in the little chute and watch it go up.

My new Pony

Since Daddy says I cannot have a real pony, mommy says we can do this new thing with my hair called a "pony". I don't really understand it but mommy says it's real cute. All I know is that it hurts real bad to get a "fake" pony so maybe I don't really want a real one!
I sure love mashed potatos...
The only real easy way to give me a pony is to wet it down and let me read a book to distract me. Then it looks kind of funny for awhile until it dries. Notice my shirt "I love carrots". I do love carrots but this carrot looks way different from the carrots I eat. Mommy says there is a difference and some day I will understand. She says I will need to marry a guy that will give me lots of carrots (note from mommy - totally kidding here)...but I don't think I like them quite that much.

Happy Birthday, Rylee!

Guess who turned two (on Monday)? Rylee that's who! Saturday we went to Rylee's birthday party. We had so much fun playing on the swing set and pool and playing with the dog, ball, and bubble machine. Rylee got a lot of nice presents. The biggest present she will get is a new sister in the next couple of weeks. We cannot wait to meet her!!

Another Fun Park - McGraw

Today we went to McGraw Park to meet the Moms and kids from church. We had another fun time! Not sure how much I will keep up with this blogging thing as long as it has been taking lately. It took me over a 1/2 hour just to put the below pictures on here. Who has that kind of time when there are all these parks to visit!!!???

Miller Park Adventure

Today I took Reece to Miller Parks' new (and free) water park and play area. She had a blast! We were there from 12 to 2 and she just ran and played the whole time. Then slept until after 4pm! There are 2 other parks like this in town for free so I am sure on our tight budget these will be the places for us to go! It's so nice and so safe and fun for the kids (and adults). It's a small enough area where I can sit and relax and watch her play in the water. I am sure Reece was excited to have a place to go where there were not many "no-nos". The swings and slides were right there also. She was screaming with joy to be in the water and see all the kids (and be so independent - without mom close behind). I am a little nervous to see how brave and independent she is - she certainly didn't need me around and no one was a stranger to her (I guess like mother like daughter, huh?). I seriously had tears in my eyes watching her have so much fun. It was too cute! Tomorrow we are going with our MOMs group to another park like this one called McGraw Park and we can't wait to have just as much fun and fellowship with other moms and kids. I hope to have some other cute pictures to share.

Sharing lunch

Yesterday we went to Kennedy's house to play with Kennedy and Bo. We went on a walk on the trail and then we shared lunch. No one wanted to eat their own lunches, we all wanted each others! We did really well sharing lunch - Aunt Jill and Mommy were very pleased with us. Getting us down for naps was another story!

Little Cleaner

Reece has discovered that she likes to help me clean. I squirt the windex or pledge and she uses the rag to wipe. She would really like to push the broom or swiffer but it isn't working out for her yet. But it's too cute that she loves to help. Hopefully this is a good sign for the future!

Another Garage Sale Find

Mommy found this awesome doll house at a garage sale yesterday. It has all the accessories including a mommy, daddy, brothers and sisters, and 2 babies. I have not stopped playing with it since she brought it home.

Belly comparison

Here is my belly at 23 weeks when I was pregnant with Reece.

Below is my belly at 21 weeks with baby #2. I am guessing I am bigger due to it being my second child...that's quite a difference. I am carrying it all in the belly this time though versus last time...my butt grew first last time.

Below is my belly at 27 weeks with Reece...Look how similiar it looks to the way I look now (above). I think they look identical - just a month earlier this time. By looking at this, I think it might be a girl now. One difference I noticed is that I don't have that brown line going down the middle of my tummy like last time but maybe it it is too early for that. We shall see!
