Welcome home, Jess!

As I write, our dear neighbors are picking up their daughter, Jess, at the St Louis airport.  Jess lives in Texas and only makes it home once or twice a year.  Last time I saw her was Christmas.  B & G also go to see her twice a year (and their son lives there too).  They intended to travel to Texas by car a couple of weeks ago but their car was having some problems and it took longer than they expected (they don't fly).  So Jess decided she wanted a break from the Texas heat (not much of a break, but a break nonetheless).  As B & G pulled out of the drive this morning to head to the airport, I had the kids in the picture window waving good bye in their "Don't Mess with Texas" t-shirts...one of the many gifts they have received from them and the good state of Texas!  We were secretly baking cupcakes and planning a suprise for Jess and B&G when they arrive home around 4 this afternoon.  We finished the cupcakes and did a little decorating over there.  We hope to be there when they get home but not sure if everyone will be up from naps by then.

Cupcakes for Jess....

The door they will enter...

Hope to post some pics of the surprise and the kids in their texas shirts!  My kiddos love Jess and can't wait to see her.
